PERSONAL CASH-FLOW

A Personal Cash-flow is a chart recording all your expected income and spending over a period of time. It can show at a glance where the peaks and troughs in your spending pattern occur and help you to smooth these out so that you have no unnecessary stress.

A Personal Cash-flow is an essential step in establishing and working to your Budget Plan. Once you have practice in preparing a Personal Cash-flow it is a simple matter to review and amend this for new items and to use it as a good guide when you need to make decisions about changes to your income and spending.

Once you have established your Personal Cash-flow you then need to check that things are going according to plan. You do this by ticking off the items of income and spending each time, and if the actual amounts are different from the amount you anticipated you update the balances at the bottom of each column.

This practice ensures that your Personal Cash-flow is not only a practical guide but becomes a living document. Use the cashflow worksheet to create your cash flow.
